Metal braces are traditional stainless steel braces with silver-colored brackets and wires. The brackets we use today are smaller and more comfortable than they used to be.
Ceramic braces are clear and used to minimize the appearance of braces. They’re popular with adults because they’re less visible than metal braces.
The Invisalign® System uses clear removable aligners to move your teeth. The templates are created with computer simulation and they are an option for some adults. Not everyone can use the Invisalign® System, so ask us if it’s an option for you.
Invisalign is now available for teens! It’s just like regular Invisalign but designed especially for teenagers.
Invisalign Teen eliminates the wires, metal, and brackets that traditional braces use. Invisalign is clear and almost invisible, which is a great option for many teens. The aligners are removable, so teens can still brush and floss normally and eat without brackets getting in the way.
Clear Braces (In-Ovation C)
In-Ovation C provides patients with fewer appointments, shorter treatment time, smaller brackets, and a less visible appearance. They are made of self-litigating, clear brackets that have built-in clips to hold the wire in place without bands or ties. This makes them more efficient than traditional braces, thus shortening treatment time. They are smaller, more comfortable, and stronger than traditional braces.
In-Ovation R uses a self-ligating bracket that is smaller, stronger, and more less visible than traditional braces. The built-in clip that holds the wire in place without bands or ties is more efficient and shortens treatment time. They are more comfortable because the brackets are smaller and they use fewer wires.
Lingual braces sit on the back of your teeth, making them unnoticeable. They are more aesthetically pleasing because you can maintain your normal appearance through treatment.
Dr. Hansen and Dr. Miller took courses specializing in each device, and they make each one custom for your facial structure. Patients may notice a difference in their speech when they first start treatment, but it should return to normal after a couple weeks.
